Mosvold Hotels luxury Beach Villas

  We absolutely loved our 13 nights stay in Sundara by Mosvold. The private villa was perfect for our family of 4. 2 bedrooms with comfy beds and good quality bathroom... read more amenities. We loved our pool. Every day saw interesting animals in our yard, exciting!
Our butler Hassan almost became like a friend, he could be dream for every hotel, so friendly and always fulfilling customers dreams.
Housekeeper also could not be better, he was perfect!
Food was sometimes good, sometimes very good but sometimes disappointing. Barramundi fish is absolutuley the best. We loved Sri Lanka'n yoghurt!

Chefs should not be afraid to use spicies. We westerns love spicy food! NYE dinner was very expensive and disappointment. Sparkling wine not good at all.

Beach was very beautiful, BUT there was a lot of rubbish(plastic) which should be cleaned regurarly.
We also had too often problems with wifi.
In the mornings too much of noise behind our bedroom.

General experience very good. We think it might be one of the best hotels in country.

Our room was clean and beautiful views to the pool and sea, access to a private beach at your door step. It was nice to spend the evenings with the amazing sunset by the pool with some yummy snacks.

We are definitely looking forward to coming back again!

From the check in to the check out I was treated like a special guest and I would like to thank the entire team for that. I completely felt comfortable and safe at any time during my stay.

The covid measures were very well respected, I went through all the PCR tests and got the results on time with no struggle.

The food was incredible, the waiters were perfectly able to pass my requirements to the chef and the chef was incredibly talented. I rarely ate so well in Sri Lanka (I’m an expatriate myself), and I must say that I am looking forward to this covid situation to end, so I can come and dine here.

The waiters (specifically Madu and Arshad) have been spot on. What a team. They made everything they could to make me feel comfortable and they were absolutely so lovely, friendly and with a big heart. Both make a perfect team together. I also spoke to another guest about it (who felt in the exact same way)
The rooms were spot on too, I slept so comfortably, it always smelt lovely in my room, my sheets were changed at perfect timings and I never felt worried of having someone in my room. I was just so happy. The housekeeping person who looked after my room is also a lovely person and very efficient.
The garden and the cleanliness of the pool and of the staff was just incredible. Even the security was absolutely lovely.

I think it’s important to share when we are happy and I do it with lots of pleasure.

I was able to use the pool, restaurants, the beach... everything was available on the menu, the atmosphere was just perfect.

I highly recommend this villa and I wish them great success with these challenging times.

  Sundara is located quite close to Colombo (about 1 1/2 hr drive) and its a beautiful place. We loved the beach and pool. We went with family including children. ... read more The food was tasty and they were very accommodative with our requests specially for the children. hats off to the chef.

We found lovely rock pools close by with small fish (just past the area with trees). The rooms/beds are very comfortable and was cleaned well. Special thanks to Hussan, Dilukshan and all the staff (including the gardener) who made sure we had an amazing and relaxing stay. We will definitely visit here again.
