Mosvold Hotels luxury Beach Villas

  Mosvold Villa is a gorgeous property on the beaches down south in Sri Lanka. We booked the suite room which has its own little plunge / Jacuzzi pool in the... read more room’s private balcony which overlooks the hotel grounds and the ocean.

We were the only guests on the property since we travelled during the weekdays and there were no foreign travelers due to the pandemic. However, the staff service was on point! Shafraz at the front desk greeted us very warmly and ensured that we were very comfortable. Dinner and Breakfast were amazing and well worth the pricing. The dinner being A’la carte and served to our room as requested and Breakfast was served at the hotel grounds.

The beach is right in front of the property and almost feels like a private beach. You can walk a 100 meters to the right of the property and surf, swim or body board. The swimming pool at the property and the private plunge pool were also made very good use of by us

What made this place, even more special was the staff. From the Manager to the waiting staff all of whom were extremely attentive and were ready to oblige at all times. Hassan deserves special mention for his personal attention to detail and our comfort.
The weather wasn’t great but that didn’t deter the staff from trying. They did everything to arrange a meal on the beach but when it started raining, they made sure that everything was arranged indoors without any hesitation.
The food was excellent with the kitchen staff going to great lengths to ensure service on time without compromising on quality.

What makes this place so special is the personalized service offered by everyone at... read more the hotel. Dilkushan made sure everything went smoothly during our stay and Hassan was always there to greet us with a smile in taking care of our meals.

Our room was clean and beautiful views to the pool and sea, access to a private beach at your door step. It was nice to spend the evenings with the amazing sunset by the pool with some yummy snacks.

We are definitely looking forward to coming back again!

From the check in to the check out I was treated like a special guest and I would like to thank the entire team for that. I completely felt comfortable and safe at any time during my stay.

The covid measures were very well respected, I went through all the PCR tests and got the results on time with no struggle.

The food was incredible, the waiters were perfectly able to pass my requirements to the chef and the chef was incredibly talented. I rarely ate so well in Sri Lanka (I’m an expatriate myself), and I must say that I am looking forward to this covid situation to end, so I can come and dine here.

The waiters (specifically Madu and Arshad) have been spot on. What a team. They made everything they could to make me feel comfortable and they were absolutely so lovely, friendly and with a big heart. Both make a perfect team together. I also spoke to another guest about it (who felt in the exact same way)
The rooms were spot on too, I slept so comfortably, it always smelt lovely in my room, my sheets were changed at perfect timings and I never felt worried of having someone in my room. I was just so happy. The housekeeping person who looked after my room is also a lovely person and very efficient.
The garden and the cleanliness of the pool and of the staff was just incredible. Even the security was absolutely lovely.

I think it’s important to share when we are happy and I do it with lots of pleasure.

I was able to use the pool, restaurants, the beach... everything was available on the menu, the atmosphere was just perfect.

I highly recommend this villa and I wish them great success with these challenging times.
